Hello all...
I guess I am in a gatefold mood this week! First was a Z gatefold, a variation gatefold and today is a more tradional gatefold with a bellyband. I really do like the added touch of the bellyband, as it allows for more embellishing as well as adds that special extra something that every card needs. I truely love making gatefolds, they just stand out amongst the single folds and even easel cards, but Ill get back to those too.

This is the front of my gatefold
The bellyband slides on from the top or the bottom
I used "Dance of Love" by Crissys Images
The inside of the card folds out from the sides to expose
a cordinating patterned paper and a
place for a personal sentiment.
I used a scroll stamp to embellish the sentiment area.
Floral paper is glittered and textured
Striped paper is Paper Studio
I also added a pull out slider tag behind the personal sentiment area.
On this card I placed a fun carousel horse themed poem
and added a "Magical Birthday"
popped up sentiment....
It had to be popped up so that it would slide over the
layers of the card when all closed up.
I also added a
"ticket to ride"
I thought this was a good little
Birthday themed poem and it certainly
goes well with the image
of the coursel horse!
This view shows all the card components
The slide on bellyband
The main body of the card
and the pull out poem tag
